The French Chateau is Ready for Its Easter Debut!

The French Chateau is Ready for It’s Easter Debut!

Decorating my home for holidays is always a cherished ritual, but Easter holds an especially deep place in my heart. While I’ve layered in some cheerful bunnies and colorful eggs, I’ve also been intentional about focusing on the true meaning of Easter.

Because of my Christian faith, I wanted the heart of my home to reflect Christ. On the center table in our foyer, you’ll find a painting of Jesus walking, a wooden cross, and one of my most treasured possessions—our family’s heirloom Bible. This Bible belonged to my paternal grandparents, who I was incredibly close to. My grandfather passed away in 2003 and my grandmother in 2011.

Two years ago, I received the most incredible gift when my father and his siblings passed down my grandparents' Bible to me. Words can’t quite capture the love, memories, and legacy it carries. Each time I pass it— with its worn corners and delicate pages resting gracefully in our entryway—I’m reminded that life is truly about our faith, our loved ones, and the legacy we leave behind.

I hope my story offers a little glimpse into how decorating our homes can go far beyond the aesthetic. It can be layered with meaning, deeply personal stories, faith, family, and the journeys that have shaped us. Design, after all, is art from the soul.
